I know we have topics similar to this, but I kind of wanted to have a consolidated, "all in one place" thread about protecting our data on our phones, our desktops, laptops, and so on. There are politics involved, but the Red Room gets too heated and information gets lost in all of the sniping, so I figured this was a good place to start it. Here's my first submission, because holy shit this needs to not happen, and if it looks like it will, we need to protect ourselves: House Intelligence Committee FISA “Reform” Bill Would Greatly Expand the Class of Businesses and Other Entities Required to Assist in FISA 702 Surveillance https://www.zwillgen.com/law-enforcement/fisa-reform-bill-702-surveillance/ It's the USA PATRIOT Act on steroids, and it would negatively affect the entire world as we're all connected to the systems this law would oversee. If you don't have a no log VPN, I suggest investing in one. I recommend Surfshark, Mullvad, or ProtonVPN. I'm not sure about Private Internet Access or ExpressVPN as they're both now owned by Kape technologies, which is an ad company. Still, taking proper precautions looks like something we need to look into, because what isn't illegal today might become illegal tomorrow, and what posts on the internet stays on the internet forever.
I've heard you and the offices of several Spanish prisons are the last registered users. The Ghost of John McAfee is now stalking you.
Look, I gotta say, as far as crazy rich guys go, he's not nearly as bad as Elmo. Even if you agree that McAfee murdered at least one person. I mean, can you imagine Elmo putting out a video like this?
