Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will be for
    the PS3 and X-Box 360.

Except this time, they want to make it a HD version!

If any of you are familiar with the art of Udon Comics,
it is quite a relief that they will be the ones who redo all the artwork.
Posted below is an example of what the art should look like at the end.

They've milked SFII for years now, and it looks like they will continue
    to milk it.

I can't wait to play this in HD.

Yeah, been reading about this at work. The problem is that the fans of the game are so into it that they can't change any of the animations at all, meaning while the sprites are larger, there will be no extra frames.

With low res sprites that isn't at obvious, with them this big though I'd expect their movement to look a little jerky.

Yeah, it will be a tough sell. Speaking as a guy who played the game every day at least 3 hours a day for three years, you learn every little nuance of the game. Every pixel your fist or leg reaches becomes second nature to you, and to change it even slightly could make it so the gameplay balance is changed.

Turning it into a HD game will change it. For those who play it casually, you'll probably love it, but for those who play it at a very high level, it'll probably be considered a new game altogether.

I think it's been said that gameplay won't be changed at all and you will be able to switch between the high and low resolution sprites. Don't have a source for that though because I can't remember where I read it.

Is that just pixel doubling? How's that work anyways? This one is a total redraw of all the original artwork.

I'm not sure what they did and I've only played it once.. it's definately not a redraw though.

What I am sort of expecting is some sort of upconverting of the sprites, the way they do it with movies.
