So, how much Kool Aid does one have to drink before they become the quarterback for running the notion that the novelty president's administration is actually good for our economy?

The Obama administration has pretty much succeeded in crucifying the oil and gas companies, which has raised energy prices, and that is what is delaying any chance of an economic recovery.

Don't forget the coal industry. That was His boldest statement of them all.

How have those investments been going, Barry?

Anyone who thinks that the Dems are out to destroy the oil companies is deluding themselves. They've been sucking at Big Oil's teet the past few decades just as much as the Republicans.

Big Oil runs our country and tells our politicians what do to. All the rest is window dressing.

Is there an expectation out there that the Environmental Protection Agency shouldn't be railing against something that from its extraction to implementation is harmful to the environment?

I'd be more surprised if they weren't doing this.

And BD is right, politicians left and right are bought and paid for by these people.

So yeah, all in all a pretty dumb shit thread by a dumb shit poster. And I like big oil!

Oil extraction is not harmful to the environment if done correctly and safely. If the govt spent its time and money to ensure oil was safely extracted instead of wasting billions on stupidity like Solyandra and other pie in the sky energy sources that are not viable or not viable for a long time, we'd have safer extraction, more supply and cheaper energy.

I agree, although it undeniably does have the potential to be devastating. Shit happens. Not to mention the equipment used on massive scale operations like that are causing pollution.

Solar power has been the next big thing for 40 years. I'd much rather spend on exactly what you described. My truck is getting expensive to fill up. :)

It would be nice to see an estimate on the tons of paper and ink wasted every year from companies trying to comply with the impossible EPA regulations.
The EPA seems to exist for one reason and that is to drive US manufacturing out of business. Probably 75% of those regulations don't make the water, land or air any cleaner or anyone's lives any better.
In my opinion the EPA is just a government sponsored criminal organization that is in direct violation of our Constitution. Imposing post-facto laws and penalties with no rational justification that should have to stand up in a court of law.

Your keyboard is messing up! I think you meant this:

This will generate billions of dollars that we will flush down the toilet faster than a toxic BM.
