Actually, of course anecdotes are evidence. They may not be CONCLUSIVE evidence, but sometimes they are all that are readily accessible. Assuming the anecdote is accurate, it is fair game to argue that it illustrates a larger point.

You of course know this and have used anecdotal evidence to try to argue any number of points, whether it is about Biden's alleged corruption, the media's alleged bias, Democrats' tendencies, etc.

Can I just be real clear about something. Often times, court is fucking boring.

Anyway, assuming that I can imagine what the dipshit is referring to, let me slightly rephrase for the grade school comprehension:

Anecdotes are not PROOF. Except that the incident being described happened (albeit often not in the context that the person who offers it wants you to see)

To wit - and don't let dipshit turn this into a trans thread, m'kay? - if the claim is "transwomen runners dominative women's sports" and you wish to support that assertion by pointing to ONE heat in which a transwoman finished first, it IS evidence - that she one that one race. It is NOT evidence that transwomen routinely dominate, which is the premise in question.

When I say "anecdotes are not evidence", I mean they are not evidence of the larger premise - it's shorthand for people who are smart enough to be involved in the discussion at all.

There is a reality in psychology and some medicine that you simply cannot create an actual experiment with a control group and whatnot without violating ethics or with our present abilities. So we use case studies and correlations to try and determine what is going on because we cannot pull things out of life experience, we cannot create another whole society of whatever to study whatever, and we cannot start dissecting people while alive to find out physical differences. That does not mean the other methods are invalid, but science does understand there are things we will not see, or whatever associated with this.

Thew problem with certain people coming into this discussion is they are not good actors in the discussion. The people you have ignored are here for the purpose of shutting doiwn and destroying the discussion based on a rudementary knowledge of science and how to fuck with it without being part of it. @Steal Your Face , @Uncle Albert , and even @Jenee all seek to destroy the conversation by miring it in a argument that is circular and never ending shit.

It is what you can expect in a free for all discussiojn board that includes sammich makers and welders as the opponents, but this is not where the science is. This is also why you do not include kids fiction writers and opiod addicted bloggers in real discussion. They simply are not there to discuss. They are there to throw shit. Really that is what here is for. If I want to have a good discussion about being trans and the science behind it I seek out a much more moderated space where the likes of the three fucktardos I mentioned before would be moderated out. None of them belong in the discussion, and that includes clueless supposed allies who drag shit into the discussion.

While these idiots are down here fucking around, the real discussion is going along elsewhere without them as a part of it because they add nothing and should not be regarded for their apeshit feelings.

I was voir dire’d out in a DUI case where the defendant only ever faced the judge. Never looked around or at the jury box. Stood like everyone else, but I only remember the back of his head and the right side of his face, not the front or left. Maybe he did after the jury was fully seated, I wouldn’t know, but not before.

I wondered at the time if he was trying not to show tattoos on the left side of his face. He was wearing as high a collar as I’ve ever seen anyone wear, and sleeves tight to his hands with no possibility of rolling or being pushed up.
