EW obviously doesn't want me copying their list, they go page by page, so click and enjoy. Their top 25 Sci Fi shows/movies of the last 25 years.

Ah, fuck EW, it's a mediocre list (popularity contest, short memory) anyway.

To be a bit more precise:

"Children of Men"? WTF? Are you kidding me? I'm not trying to hate her as I thought it was a fairly enjoyable flick but fuck me there's no place for that on a top 25 list.

Galaxy Quest? Sure, it's funny as hell but I'm sure the scifi genre has come up with better stuff than that over the last 25 years.

Heroes? Meh, don't especially like it myself - in addition I think it's a little too early.

Lost? One good season, apparently. Never watched it myself.

Most importantly: No fucking Stargate? Ten seasons, a movie and a spin-off about to start its fourth season? No matter what you may think about it that deserves a spot on this list.

I could go on here but whatever.
nuBSG at 2 is overrated as well (even though I like it), Matrix definitely isn't the best thing from the last 25 years. Also, Firefly should be in the top ten. :diacanu:

I like Galaxy Quest and Doc Who more than the number they assigned.

I'd have put Farscape near the top of the list (it didn't make the list at all), and found room for Stargate, always good even if rarely exceptional. DS9 and Babylon 5 are also glaring omissions.

BSG would have been nearer the bottom than the top, if I had input (maybe around 15 or 20, even if I stopped watching mid-Season 3). And Bladerunner would have dropped maybe 5 slots.

And some, like Heroes and Starship Troopers, wouldn't have even made the cut (Heroes too new, Troopers just not special enough, although I enjoyed it). Movies like Gattaca should have easily pushed it out, imo.

How "Sarek" made the short list of top TNG episodes eludes me completely.

    Brazil I agree with. ;)

A few missing and some I wouldn't have included, but otherwise about right.

I've seen worse, but no Ds9, no Twin Peaks, BSG sucks, and Lost.is.not.fucking.science.fiction.

That list is pretty warped. They should have made it a top ten then they wouldn't have had to go scraping around the edges of the genre. And where the fuck was SAAB?

That list is completely outside the bounds of reality.

That list in itself is a work of fiction! :soma:

Was 2001 made within the last 25 years? I thought it came before Star Wars?

It's hard to take a Sci-Fi Top 25 list seriously that omits '2001' and has Star Trek: The Next Generation at #8. And the Matrix was cool, but...#1?

Well, aside from 2001...even so! :D

I'd certainly add Minority Report, GATTACA, and Solaris to the list. And I haven't really thought about it yet...

    No Babylon 5?

    No Red Dwarf?

    No sale.

As Rimmer would say, "vomitization". :vomit:

By "go in cold" I meant, "don't read up on it," assuming you're still relatively spoiler free.
