Wow. Wordforge looks all different. Anyway, I'm starting a new thread for the Scratch comic book that I'm working on for my Sequential Narrative course. The first several posts will probably be mostly updates with rough artwork, but eventually I'll be posting the entire thing, finished.

So, without further ado, The progress thus far.

Very good visual storytelling. The different aspects you give on the interior of the tavern convey the essence of the place without your ever having to show a wider, establishing shot.

    A few minor criticisms:
    1. In the first panels, the art and text describe an arrival at the tavern. But the character at the bar seems to have been there a while. Narratively speaking, this makes it seem like he arrives takes a quick drink and leaves when (if I interpret correctly) he's actually been hanging out there quite a while.
    2. Page 4 panel 3 took me a moment to figure out. If you have the glare of the truck headlight in the background backlight the man a little more, it would make it more clear what is happening.
    3. Page 3 panels 3 and 5: I understand how the left side is more lit in panel 5 (headlights of the approaching car), but the right side of his face goes from completely lit in panel 3 to complete shadow in panel 5.

These are mainly nitpicks. I am very impressed.
