I asked Kyle to disable it do see how much of the complaining about it was "rail against the new feature", however, it pretty conclusively was giving UA problems (which stopped when it was disabled, without him knowing that it was disabled), and it was used, oh, about three times ever.

Very well. I guess we consider that experiment a failure, then.

    Bugger.

Let's take it out entirely. We'll have to go back to "sharing" the old fashioned way, I reckon.

I've no problem with pulling it out, since the only person using it was Apostle, but I disagree that it was causing issues, since it didn't seem to fix things for the vast majority of those with problems.

It was pretty clear that it was causing problems for UA, at least.

I think he just stopped complaining about it because we "weren't doing enough" to fix his problem.

You mean where he complained about the speed after I had disabled the remote JS and left only the icon?

I might be enjoying the labor day booze a little too much, but wouldn't that support the idea that removing it didn't fix it for him?

The symptoms were different. After you disabled it, it was a generic "The board is slow", instead of "The board hangs for 10 seconds after the page appears to have fully loaded". I'd call that a win.

What doesn't cause problems for UA?
