Grrr! I don't want to wait for Season 2 of The Tudors! Despite a number of historical inaccuracies, I really enjoyed the first season. Anyone else watch it?
Only bits and pieces while waiting for QI to come on. For a while, I honestly thought it was Jude Law in the lead, rather than Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.
JRM has more hair! And he's an utter fox, if a little pale. OH is taken with Natalie Dormer. He was quite pleased he finally got to see her boobies in full last night. I'm sure that's the only reason he tolerates me watching it.
It's nice to see young rock star nailing Anne-Margaret Henry as opposed to old, 1568 Comeback Special, dead on a toilet in a few years Henry. EDIT: I really like The Tudors. As historically inaccurate as it was, I greatly enjoyed Elizabeth and Elizabeth: The Golden Age (because I'm madly in love with Cate Blanchett and because Geoffrey Rush is what I always imagined Sir Francis Walsinghan to be like), but I could watch Helen Mirran in Elizabeth I six times a day everyday forever and still never get tired of it. It's just that good.
CBC seems to get first dibs on many BBC productions these days (Doctor Who especially). I think they may have put in some funding.
Entertainment value, it's a 10. Historical accuracy? Well, the costumes are pretty good, but other than that, well...It was educational to see that Mary Boleyn brought the blowjob AND the clap back from France.
I'm just sad we won't get to see their take on Lady Jane Grey. 18 years old, hot, and you just know her tits would get shown.
Just thinking back on it, but when I went to see Elizabeth: The Golden Age at the theater when it came out, a woman in the audience actually gasped out loud when the Spanish Ambassador insinuated that Elizabeth was sleeping around. And then she gives her I Am A Hurricane speech.
