There isn't a sailboat in the magic eye picture from the movie Mallrats. So everyone that said they could see the sailboat was lying.
It’s not a sailboat. It’s a schooner stupid head! I’m assuming this thread was brought about by Mall Easter Bunnies being back (in my defense I was only at the mall to watch the critically acclaimed Kung Fu Panda 4).
I'm disappointed, for two reasons. 1: Kevin Smith lied to us. 2: It never occured to me to pause the movie and see what was actually in the picture. Yes
Nope, the reason I posted the thread is a a bit weird. I was looking for a picture on my phone, taken right I woke from having surgery on my shoulder. I found the picture, and then started scrolling through all the pictures I have on my phone. I came across screen shot of a QR code of my boarding pass from a flight to Orlando last year. I opened a QR reader on my phone to read what the QR code has encoded. Then I downloaded a random large QR code to see what the QR code reader would decode. I was thinking the QR code looked like those pictures with a hidden image (couldn't remember they were called Magic Eye). I did and image search and was looking at a few, then remembered about the sailboat magic eye from Mallrats. Did an image search for the "mallrats sailboat". Found several pictures of it, downloaded the clearest one. Was disappointed that there wasn't a sailboat in it when I saw the hidden image. Kevin Smith is a fucking liar. I end up doing this kind of this rather often when I'm streaming something on TV.
Seeing the hidden image probably became easier after the HD version was released. Image clarity/resolution might not be good enough on SD screen captures or when pausing the movie.
