Blargh. The original series, for those too young to remember or too old to be able to know their own family's faces, starred Lee Majors as a Hollywood stuntman who put his skills to use on the side as a bounty hunter. Markie Post played his usual bounty-giver. Heather Thomas was also in it as a regular. It had a decent theme song: The adaptation has Ryan Gosling in the lead role, with Emily Blunt as his partner/love interest. Gosling, for those without the benefit of eyes, looks nothing like Majors or anyone else you could imagine in the role. That said, the new trailer does seem to carry over the "slightly inept" nature of the character.
Well, I don't hold them in the same low regard as I do you, no. More seriously, I've long been expecting a remake of this, but I figured Netflix series. I would have also gone with Nathan Fillion or Adam Baldwin in the role, not Gosling. If I was gonna put Gosling in, it'd be as Howie.
Old enough to have had the opportunity to watch it in first run but i don't know if I even saw a single episode or knew anything about it other than the theme song and it starred Lee Majors. I saw the trailer in the theater before I knew it was "The Fall Guy," and I didn't make the connection until it showed the title. It seems worth a watch when it comes to streaming.
So it features Bon Jovi in the trailer. You know, the musical equivalent of a mullet. @Lanzman you need to stop joking around with the asteroid shit and actually wipe us the fuck out. I'm not kidding. We're on the verge of civil war as it is, and I've got a list of megachurches, political organizations, and folks I intend to take out on my way to Canada. You don't want to be on it.
I remember seeing a couple of shows of it. It was interesting, but I think it was either up against something else I watched, or I wasn't old enough to have gotten into the whole plot. I sort of remember it being on around knight rider and the A-team which might have been around my bed time at the time. It was probably pre-VCR in my house.
I think Bon Jovi has split off from the mullet into the Jersey thing now that jersey is a thing. I would put mullet more along the lines of chuck norris fandom. Did chuck the wannabe fuck ever have a mullet? I think the lesbians came on helicopters in and rescued the Bon Jovi mullet for their people.
