So these two men sacrificed their lives to save others and this is how you show your appreciation. Pathetic piece of shit.
I only quoted your response in case you chose to delete it. I am curious to see how others will react to what you said, particularly those who served in the military or are closely associated with it. Let's make sure we get the attention of a few of them. @Shirogayne @Lanzman @Marso @oldfella1962 @Ancalagon @GhostEcho
@A Bangkok Atheist '' comment was shitty, and you're still the most useless poster on Wordforge. Fight your own battles, you sloppy knob.
Yeah, even as an ardent critic of the Iraq war I still see nothing to celebrate in the deaths of the combatants. They shouldn't have been there but that doesn't diminish the impact of their deaths. I'd say much the same for the deaths of Iraqi troops and insurgents for what it's worth, they were all senseless deaths. Sorry @A Bangkok Atheist, I normally find your posts witty and whimsical but this one left a pretty poor taste.
Once upon a time some poster here began listing the names of the U.S. military casualties in Iraq and every Tighty Righty on the board went berserk. How times have changed.
Where it is sad some good people have died, if it was not for people like you pushing for bullshit wars they would not have had to. They did not die protecting America, they died for corporate money and the MIC. I do find you peddling patriotic bullshit in their names to be very scummy. Please do stop pissing on the graves of the dead with your sad and misguided honor. Certainly living a long and healthy life would have been better than dying young over a lie.
Where his comment is misguided, your attempts to pretend there is some honor and heroism in these corrupt wars over lies is pathetic. Sorry, but it is truly sad these people died because you are a sad old man who needs to pretend the military is heroic because you have done nothing honorable with your life. By your logic every ISIS member who stood a post deserves to be honored. Every nazi who guarded Auschwitz deserves to be honored for standing a post. Every confederate shitbag traitor who stood a post while stealing land from America and promoting slavery and prejudice deserves to be honored. You and @Marso can blow your false honor and pitiful bravado out your ass. Let us never forget you are the suck.
Well Tererun for your information I had a relative die at Auschwitz! He fell off a guard tower. Thank you, I'll be here all week. Could it be I sense a little jealousy because you never had the privilege and honor of serving your country? It's okay, not everyone has what it takes. BTW in case you forgot, Shirogayne and Anc served too - are they at fault for promoting an evil war too or just those who lean conservative? asking for a friend
No, dipshit, it's because we gutted smileys because we had something like 1300 of them, hundreds of which had never been used by anyone. You just want to take the piss. Fuck off.
No, what you sense is irritation at owing something to those who serve and being expected to let your bullshit slide. People serve for a number of reasons, and some of them are disgusting and gross. I respect that our military are people who are not conscripted and join for their own reasons which may include sacrifice. However, just giving someone respect for having served does not make much sense. I also understand that military service may cause a person to be put in a position where they are ordered to do something morally wrong and I appreciate that conflict does not necessarily mean a person is bad no matter which way they chose. However, there are people who stand by and watch as innocents are killed, rapes happen, villages are burned for no reason, and all sorts of other things that are bad and done in the name of our country. I will give a soldier the benefit of the doubt, and also take responsibility to vote so that we do not engage our military in immoral wars. You know what I do not get. The party that wants to make sure the VA is funded and people who served get medical treatment are the democrats. One of the reasons I vote for them is because they are the most likely to raise some taxes, hopefully on the rich and corporations at this point, to make sure our veterans get the medical help they need to recover from any trauma they got from their service. I also vote for the democrats as they normally are likely to use diplomacy over war. Obama seemed to float a lot of war under the radar which bugged me. However, most of the time it is republicans who get us into wars. I would really much rather see our military used in a much more moral an just way which is why I cannot vote for conservatives who have repeatedly gotten us into conflicts for some very bad reasons. I am perfectly capable of giving respect on my own and do not need you to have it automatically given or give it for me. If any military person questions my opinions about them I invite them to ask. I am not really anti military. I am anti testosterone pumped up warhead. You know, Mr. @Marso or chet as I like to call him.
one of the things I liked about Obama was his ability to float the war under the radar. Sorry but once Obama got elected the war was now his ugly baby. You have to do what you have to do! Marso a pumped up warhead? I'm not seeing that at all.
You see, there is something that makes you a scumbag. War should be seen in all of it's disgusting glory. We should see the dead burnt bodies we make with our policy and maybe that will help us to understand why bombing people thousands of miles away who pose absolutely no threat to our nation is not what we should be doing. We don't have to be bombing the fuck out of the middle east. We do it because racists like you like it. You just admitted you do like it so please wait a few posts before trying to pretend you don't. As for what you don't see in @Marso, I will just say you are either purposefully blind or just plain old blind. It is like not realizing @Dayton3 is a waste of flesh.
