From the very beginning I argued against the Daycare and the Minefield. It was Sardy's and MM's attempt to deal with spammers. They felt if they outright deleted threads or banned people then they'd betray the free speech concept and TrekBBS would label them hypocrites. It was a novel way to deal with the problem. But I always hated that some people embraced the minefield like it was a normal forum. I thought it really junked up the place. But in the end, I guess Sardy and MM were right.

Well, since I was responsible for it's demolition, I'll feel free to take a bow in this thread.

re: jack / blackfoot / C-40: The idea that two individuals would be engaged in a decades-long feud / pissing match over who has "done more" for TK / whose pet sub-forum gets the most posts ... on a board that next to no-one frequents ... not buying it. It starts making a hell of a lot more sense (in a deranged, back-away-slowly way) when you attribute all this activity to the one individual.

It is now my firm opinion that jack / c-40 / blackfoot, along with Aquehonga and many other fly-by names that pop in and out of the board - are all the one individual.

The top 3/4 of TK is essentially one freak talking to themself.

It is ... quite the effort to maintain. All those sports and media threads that no-one reads. I won't pretend to understand the motivations of "the individual". I suppose in the earlier days there was more of an audience.

Granted the DBB makes lots of noise about it, but you never see anything out of me but posts in that forum. I have some duals that I occassionally use, but only when trolling Blackfoot/Ceejay. Aquehonga is not mine.

Aquehonga is a "main" at TK, like I am. Blackfoot is a main, but he uses a dual "C-40". I have many duals at TK which I use to troll blackfoot. At first it was an onsession, now it's more of a hobby .

I kind of leave Aquehonga to his own devices, even if I don't understand half the shit he raves about...but I hate Blackfoot/C-40 with a fucking passion and troll them whenever I have a chance.

They shit up the board and spam/interfere with every discussion thread with their fake black gangsta tough talk and they've driven all the good posters off the board.

@jack I have been trying for some time to wrap my mind around what you do over at TK, and it seems like you do it without an audience or much effect outside of troll kingdom. Not to bve insulting as they were interesting, but wouldn't that make you the Cullens (From twilights series) of trolls? You just sort of troll off in the corner while no one is looking?

I am not trying to be insulting being as I am currently playing around in this place as opposed to other more popular areas, but no audience but yourselves works for a bunch of performance artists?

TK Media Center in particular shows I am not an audience of 1. I am fortunate to be able to use a whole forum as a you tube compilation scratchpad, and I create a lot of playlists off the threads i've created.

TK stopped being about trolling for me a while ago. I use it mostly as a storage repsitory for my internet hobbies...pics of hot girls, music and odd and weird infor and facts. Not worried about an audience. I use FB for that, where I have close to 5000 followers, so much of what I do at TK gets linked to on FB.

Works for me. No one bothers me there so it's become quite comfortable, actually.

Are you suggesting that if I brought my TK act over here I'd get better responses, reactions, attention?

That does make actual sense. It does seem like you might have a better audience along with more stability over here, but I cannot speak for how welcome some things may be over there. There seems to be some sort of standards around. I do not know where the line is in the red room. I know some people have crossed it, but I have not tripped over it yet. I also do not post what others would consider porn, or pictures of lynchings. I have yet to post pictures of foot rot as response to other people's arguments, or changed my avatar to nazi symbology yet. That may change if my foot wounds come back, or if I decide to do a deep dive into Tanya the evil.

But moving can be hard especially when you have made the ass grove in one of the seats.

As an original TKer, I'm happy that Jack, Aquahonga, and whoever else keeps the place going. I don't really care if they troll each other into the dirt. The very first thing I did when I came back to the TK ezboard after being away for three months was change all the TK images (they were using my hosted images so I replaced the images with something dumb) all to troll this new MissManners person. So trolling each other is a rich TK tradition.

I am thinking you are conflating trolling with posting on a message board. The purpose of the message board is that the people on it come around and post their things on it because they have a sort of community and they talk to each other over the medium. Yes, you can stretch trolling to that definition, but most people call it conversation, arguing, or discussion.

TK is not trolling, except by it's own definition of trolling. It is sort of like the people who play quiddich thinking they are actually playing the game from harry potter.

I helped build that damn forum 24 years ago. Don't try to tell me what it's for. TK is the definition of trolling, it's one of the reasons I never tried to take ownership. At one point in its prime, MM was getting calls from the FBI. So believe me when I say, TK meets every definition for trolling.

That is adorable, but I have been where the real trolls are and I see no evidence there was any real trolling at troll kingdom.
