Nobody from any media source can agree on the number of delegates anyone has. But surely it's the blatant bias of the "MSM" rather than wishful thinking and fuzzy math that has missed over half of Dr. Paul's delegates. How could it be anything else?

But let's say McCain does win the nomination. Then you pick 2 observers, and I'll pick 2, and we'll agree on 1, to watch my political posting. If, on November 5th, a majority of them agree that I was fair in criticizing both McCain and the Democratic nominee between the convention and the election, you have to posrep me once a day for a year (any 365 times will do really, but it must be within a year), with the comment "I will not be an arrogant douche and make unfounded attacks on my opponents' character". A majority agree that I've been beating up on the Dem too much, I'll posrep you once a day for a year "I will not be a partisan hack shilling for the GOP". Also, the loser has to post a public apology thread on Nov. 5.

#1: No, of course I haven't been paying attention to you for the past four years. Why would I put in that effort? I simply have typecasted you with people holding similar beliefs. These beliefs are of course based on a handful of posts that I have read and recalled, and probably aren't wholly accurate. Of course, it goes without saying that I don't really care about those last two bits.

#2: I can recognize being an arrogant douche, as that is of course my forte (and my goal as a poster). In fact reading it just now has me feeling quite warm and fuzzy.

#3: I don't care about rep, so getting 365 reps from you isn't a good reward.

#4: I don't generally log on every day so giving you 365 reps isn't an option either.


Therefore, I propose that we revise the bet, eliminate the rep portion, and just keep the apology part, and also that you eat a dick.

I didn't apologize. I simply said that I haven't bother to spend enough time to evaluate you properly. Immediately following this statement was another one that said I didn't care if I had misread you. If anything that is an insult, not an apology.

Maybe to you "You aren't important enough for me to seriously evaluate you or your positions" is an apology. To me, that definitely isn't one.

Anyway, the reps don't ensure humiliation at all. All they ensure is that I log on this place every day. I know you do that already. I also know you care about rep. So really, it's not a fair tradeoff in the least. And as you could plainly see from my user name and sig, I have no problem being an arrogant douche, especially on an internet forum. Furthermore, this bet is completely under your control, since it is based off of what YOU decide to post, regardless of your real feelings. All you have to do is not forget about it and you will win no matter what.

Really what you have proposed is a totally retarded, one-sided bet in which you have complete control of the terms, the outcome, and you even get a better reward than I would if I won.
