Goes hand in hand, with significant overlap as to blur the distinction toward meaningless
But, you do make a good point -- stupidity isn't necessarily a choice.

    Don't be obtuse.

Ignorance has a cure, stupidity doesn't.

Wow, who knew it was possible to curb-stomp someone with a Tweet so hard that it's actually a Crime Against Humanity?

Republicans once again forcing us to ask the question, "are you a complete moron, or are you just incredibly dishonest?"

FYI Dan Carlin finally wrapped up Supernova in the East (after 3 years!) in case you have 27 hours to burn.

Admiral King was rip-roaring son of a bitch (in fact he said of himself after being called back to serve as CNO post Pearl Harbor and as the Japanese were running wild in the Pacific) "When things get tough they send for the sons 0f bitches". He was also a hard-core Anglophobe with a deep seated hatred of the Royal Navy due to run-ins he had with them in WW I. He was also a visionary who realized that the next war would be a carrier war and went through naval flight training in 1926 at the age of 48 so he could qualify for carrier command. He also had the spine to go face to face with Douglas MacArthur, since one of the keys to winning a war is sometimes fighting bigger battles with your own people than with the enemy. That documentary is the most even handed examination of his career that I've ever seen (although I am hardly a WW II scholar).

It has some of the best lines:

"WWII: A conflict in the mid 20th century who's primary belligerents were Admiral King and the Royal Navy with peripheral involvement of the militaries of Germany and Japan."

My favorite was the description of a tense meeting between the US and UK brass that was judged a success because it ended without gunfire…
