Um, I like it the old way. User control panel as it's own link, user links next to search. Also, can we have "my profile", and "buddy list", back?
Bitch bitch bitch. You complain that I get rid of the links, and then I move them to the other side, and you still complain.
I don't care for the dropdown menu either. I don't see how hard it would be to change it. Just link it directly to the User CP instead of making it drop down. The same most of the other ones are up there. I can live with it, but it's annoying.
Its not that hard to change at all. The problem is that before I just had it show User CP, and people were complaining about the lack of a Links drop down menu, but there isn't enough room to throw in another navbar link without it looking bad, so I had to consolidate the two. If you really want to have Links and User CP separate, you have to suggest something to get rid of.
well, I guess I can learn to live with the merged UserCp/links. But what about my profile, and buddy list? Having a buddy list is pointless if I ain't even got the command for the little popup thingy. And using member list to look at my own profile to see if I got a reply to a post I made in a thread I lost track of is kind of a pain in the frickin ass.
Well, "New Posts" is kinda redundant since you only have to move your cursor a few pixels up to click on "x New Posts since your last visit." And I don't understand what was under Links...?
Everything under User Links (except for Mark Posts Read and Who's Online) are available under the User CP. And even then, Who's Online and Mark Posts Read is available at the bottom of the forum index. My suggestion is to turn User Links back into User CP, and tell people if they really wanna Mark Forums Read or see Who's Online, they click on Forum. That, or get rid of New Posts and split User Links into Links and User CP again.
You can get at "New Posts" via the link in the "Welcome" blurb at the top. No great need to put it on the, um, bar thingy too. (says someone who never uses it)
You've got 30k+ posts to choose from, surely you can find one so you can click on your username to get to your profile?
Does anybody use the "Forum" link on the very left of the banner? You already have the Wordforge root on the top and bottom tree and the big logo on the top left hand corner as well as the forum jump on the bottom right. Take out that to make space?
