Oh yeah, my bad for not updating when I saw it. Second trailer is supposed to drop next Tuesday. Trailer will have the release date. It got bumped ahead by covid. https://www.darkhorizons.com/spider-verse-sequel-sets-trailer-launch/
Second trailer. Movie drops June 2nd. Yeah, the internet is going to be combing over who all those spider-people are for the next couple weeks.
Poster!! Right behind Afro-Spider-Woman is redhead "Secret Wars" Spider-Woman! Right next to Spider-Man 2099 is Ben Reilly! Right behind Spider-Gwen is Spider-Punk! Two Spideys over from Spider-Punk is Armored-Spidey!
There is far too much diversity in that poster! And is that pink hair I see? UA is going to have a conniption.
How are you focusing on anything but the Bombastic Bag-Man, you cunts? If Bag-Man exists, then the FF exist, and Johnny is BFFs with Peter! If this movie doesn't have the FF showing up to help OR Future Foundation Spidey then fuck them all.
Fantastic Four, not Federal Farmer. They only have a guy who stretches to save people, not to defend fascism.
I am really ecstatic about Marvel's endeavors with the entire Spider-Man franchise. I know there are a lot of people who long for the "good ol' days" and want to keep things as they were, but fuck 'em, right? They can stick with Peter Parker if they want to and I'll take it all. If you guys have access to a Playstation device, then I suggest the awesomeness that is Marvel's PS4&5's Spider-Man as well as Marvel's PS4&5's Miles Morales Spider-Man. I don't think there's a more engaging and entertaining Spider-Man experience.
I’m a traditionalist and love Peter Parker and I often don’t care for multiple spider people, or bat people for that matter, but you’re right about the PS4/5 game and I do like what they are doing with these multiverse movies.
Don't get me wrong!! I love Peter Parker too! I just really like Miles Morales and I'm happy to see the multiverse grow.
In my head-canon, dad-bod Spidey is a Tom Holland variant, and he's already passed the torch to Miles.
Third trailer! Spider-Man 2099 references "No Way Home" but he talks too fast for me to catch it all.
According to the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z book, though the comics have had it as Earth-616, as indeed did the Multiverse of Madness movie.
Illuminati Christine called it 616. Kevin Feige said years ago it was 199999. They just canonized the Feige label.
I saw "SPIDER-MAN ACROSS THE SPIDERVERSE" yesterday afternoon & found it ... GOOD ... DIFFERENT ... then it became GREAT towards & at the end. Has anyone else seen this Spider-Man flick yet? If you did , or after you see it , please post your thoughts of it as a reply to this here OP.
My bad moderators & administrators. Could my thread here be merged with @AlphaMan 's thread , which is this: http://wordforge.net/index.php?threads/wait-a-minute…-where’s-my-spiderverse-movie.123218/
I'll be going this weekend. I hear it's awesome!! I hope it performs significantly better at the box office than the first one. It was a great movie, but did not do as well as the live action movies
Some of my nephews had already seen it twice by Saturday and they were raving that it perhaps was the best superhero movie ever, best animated movie ever, etc. I saw it this weekend and enjoyed it thoroughly. The animation is even cooler than the first one, and I actually look forward to when it comes to D+ in four to six months so I can watch it at whatever speed I want, rewind, pause etc. I will say, without going into true spoilers, my initial take is that I enjoyed the first movie better since it was a complete movie and not the first part of a two-parter. But that opinion might change on repeated viewings and/or with the release of Beyond next year.
If Kamala Khan herself says it's 199999, then it's 199999. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-...rvel-episode-1-mcu-earth-number-b2097193.html
OK! Saw it! Loved it! I did not expect them to go this hard in this movie and I was not ready. The movie opens with a short snippet of the rapper Rakim's Guess Who's Back from 1997. One of my favorites of all time from one of the greatest of all time. So yeah, Rakim was on my mind. Later in the movie, when Miles' Uncle Aaron shows up, it dawned on me that this character was inspired by Rakim. Not just his look, but his vocal tone and speech inflections. I don't expect many people here to appreciate it if anyone does at all, but I finally noticed and I appreciate it. Loved the fight with the villain Spot. Miles grabbing the Jamaican beef patty from the corner Bodega. They really nailed it. I don't want to say too much before people get a chance to see it so I'll refrain for now. I might go see it again before it leaves theaters.
I just thought of something else non-spoilery I can say. When I was a kid, there was this comic book artist named Bill Sienkiewicz. To be honest, I didn't like his abstract style all that much. But as I grew older, I guess my taste matured and now some of his paintings go for thousands of dollars and I see why. There are times where this movie looks like one of Bill's paintings come to life. Particularly when we see Spider-Gwen in her universe. I couldn't get over how good this movie looked. Man, if his name isn't somewhere in the credits, someone's getting sued.
