As for @mrs albert, I hope her going is a joke. I mean seriously, I, like others, protested the gturner banning as bullshit and unfair. But steps have been made to change the rules and to change personnel so that from now on no bannings will happen without clearly set out rules and prior warning. I mean, isn't that half the fight? I think both Paladin and Mrs. Albert are now looking ridiculous. The latter because it is now weeks past the gturner and the protest seems somewhat pointless now, and the former because he asked for a change of direction and there has been one. If he believes what he pretends to with his protest, he'd at least return to give his opinion on the changes, even if he doesn't intend to stick around as only an idiot would fail to recognise some efforts to address the fallout from the gturner clusterfuck.

This seems to be more about @gul than the rules or principles anymore, and while I do agree he should step down, I think it speaks volumes that many agreed with me when I talked of fairness in bannings, but now steps have been made towards addressing that complaint, few are interested in seeing it and having a dialogue. Plus, it seems to me, reading between the lines, that Gul may intend to step down sooner or later (judging by his "rotating out" and "don't want to post on a board with gturner" remarks).

Oh, and serious question, if @gul steps down will all the drama stop? I don't think it will. I think trolls like Face and Dinner will then immediately start crowing about how gturner should be unbanned, the rules set back as they were and so on. That is not about a rethink, it is about maintaining the status quo, but for all those who say that there should be no change, there are a good deal saying there should be. So this board vs Gul standpoint is disingenuous. Because there is division in thought, the best solution is a compromise.
