Of course there are differing degrees of abuse. So what?
"My country, right or wrong" is a bullshit attitude.

    No.

    In this case it is

"My country. One hell of a lot better than the damn Chinese by any measure in regards to human and political rights".

    Case closed.

What the hells the matter with you Rick?

Even for a veteran America hater this should not be even open to discussion.

A basic principle of civilization is the right of a property owner to have a say in what happens on his property.

I don't think I've implied that human rights in America are as bad as those in China. So take your straw man away with you.

And stop saying "Case Closed" as if your opinion is law.

Perhaps you have a point - China's rights are limited until they put the United States into foreclosure.

Nobody has said anything like that. Rick, my country is like my family. I may not always be proud of everything they do. But I'm going to take the side of my family and my country first by default every single time. That's not to say I won't acknowledge their problems and work to make them both better. But I'll be darned if I'm going to let someone else take cheap shots and then run back off to their little hiding places.

Aside from that and by any objective standard, the U.S. is a much better place than China. Acknowledging our problems is one thing. Equating them to China's is clearly the product of the imagination of someone who hates this country.

That does indeed sound very much like "my country right or wrong".

Pretty much like this guy does? I mean that is his whole schtick - America is just one of many equal parts of the puzzle.

I didn't dedicate my life to defending a country that is equal to anyone.
Don't hate us because we're the best.
Not perfect, but as close as you can get in this world.

When is Reagan going to rise from the grave to smite this clown?

So in order to demonstrate our own self awareness on this issue, we bring up the Arizona law. How is that not ridiculous?

It's not ridiculous if your self-loathing agenda is taking America down a few pegs. :indifferent:

Perfect. Now we've got the President of Mexico, reading the President of the United States the riot act in the White House.
:jayzus: There's so much that is fucked up and embarrassing about this that I literally don't even know where to begin.

But did Obama bow all the way to the ground or just to his knees?
