Really, it'd probably be easier if he dug up the most recent political compass thread. We had one a few months back, didn't we?
That's interesting. How's the pay? Because it all falls apart if you can't put food on the table and a roof over your head.
And the difference between "the industrialist", and a boardroom weasel is, what exactly? Both have meetings, both shuffle paper, neither swings a hammer.... Does he have to be a hero-inventor of the model of Edison or Ford? Very few of them around anymore.
You're the one that used Rand as an example. Randian supermen (and women) don't shuffle papers. They do swing hammers. Or maybe you haven't actually read what you speak of?
Hmm. You must not have heard me. I'll say it again: How's the pay? Because it all falls apart if you can't put food on the table and a roof over your head.
Here, try this Political test of 42 questions. I think it's accurate. LINK: http://www.okcupid.com/politics I came out as a Socialist ! But I'll vote for being Liberal. There are degrees to anything.
I'd probably come out as a socialist too. Dual, you probably made sure you turned out to be a Libertarian!!! No that is NO surprise that your results came up as libertarian!!!!
Yeah, alot of crazy shit went down before the Basel Convention put a stop to most of it. http://www.webster.edu/~corbetre/haiti-archive/msg05049.html
An interesting poll. I have some issues with some of the questions and a feeling that there is some bias there, but it is fairly well put together. (It said I was a social liberal/economic conservative-capitalist.)
The charts themselves for the poll are interesting. Just how far do you go into a certain "view?" According to the poll, I'm deep in Socialist Territory.
It's an absolutely ridiculous poll, which places Obama as the most socialist you can possibly get and anarchism as an extreme version of libertarian capitalism.
That seems pretty fitting. I am definitely VERY socially liberal. I think I am somewhat more economically liberal though. I did call it that this would put me at Socialist.
The chart is pretty much the same as the Political Compass, just rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise.
True. Hillary and Obama should be in the same quadrant as Bush and McCain, just a little more liberal on both axes. I wonder if they were placed there to simply to balance out the graphic...no significant American politicians are in that quadrant. Most of the others seem reasonably close. It makes sense for the Unabomber to be in the anarchist (extremely economically and socially permissive) position, as well as Stalin to be in the opposite corner (extremely economically and socially controlling).
Is there any result that doesn't include the "You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness" bit?
