What Do You Call a "meltdown"?

Garamet wants everyone to believe that just because someone talks about their family (or friends) online that it makes them automatically "fair game" for the most insulting and vulgar personal attacks possible and it is the fault of the person talking about them for putting it out there.

It is apparently her belief that expecting any level of common decency from an online community is a foolish notion.

No, garamet believes that people who don't learn to stop posting about their families after they've been trolled are in some way limited in their understanding of human behavior. That they keep posting private information anyway suggests a serious flaw in their thinking.

I thought it might be mean to suggest that "Dayton's entire life" might be an example of a meltdown. But then he posted the last few posts and I realized THAT's a meltdown. His life is, by contrast, a fucking supernova.

That's already been put to the test. He stayed out of the RR for almost a week (except for a blizzard of neg-reps) and life went on just fine without him.

I see no evidence that the bulk of my "fellow WFers" will ever give me respect no matter what I do to earn it.
