What do you think of the new "old" crew of the Enterprise?

Spock still looks like Sylar.

Tough to say, got any pictures of the ship? How much is the enterprise going to factor into this ?

Edit- Ncc-1701? Is that an Enterprise escape pod? What's going on there?

Kirk is too young and it looks like Starfleet is using Superman's tailor...

Going to bomb W hy couldnt they go for a star wars/nbsg/tos2-6/ds9 look? Bridge controls look to futuristic for a general audience to connect.

Escape pod = interesed peaked.

But I'll reserve my final judgment until I get clear shots of the font used on the hull.

Checkov - take some getting used to
Sulu - ok
Uhura - very nice,particularly the short sleeves
Scotty - acceptable
McCoy - Damn. Bang on, I was really worried about Urban in that role
Spock - the look is good and I have no doubt ZQ will rock
Kirk - I still don't like that everyone is so close to the same age but he's got the "wow" factor in terms of leading-man hunkiness to be credible, visually, as Kirk.

Don't suppose there's any leaked clips or trailers that have any actual person in character as opposed to pretty pictures is there?

Kirk actually looks the age he's supposed to... Mid 30's.

Apparently the first full-on trailer for the new movie will precede Quantum of Solace when it opens next month and will show shots of the ship inside and out, including the bridge.

Chekov, Scotty, & Sulu - meh. It'll take getting used to, but I can adapt.
Uhura and Spock - spot on!
Kirk - I can see it...
McCoy - not feelin' it at all.

That guy looks like he's about 27...which is exactly how old Chris Pine was on the day that was filmed.

Ok most of those lights have to go. It looks like a mall store. Hell Uhura has two hand hold scanners for ringing up merchandise.

And I'd suggest that Capt. Kirk put on a proper uniform.

Oh my god. The bridge looks awful. I mean that's just bad. Zombie is right, it does look like a mall store. Ugh. Is the mess hall going to look like the Food Court?

I look at that picture, with Simon Pegg and the asian dude from Harold and Kumar and I just...laugh.

I don't think this is going to work for me. We'll see, I guess. I'll gamble the $8, I suppose, but jeeeeez...

Tough to be sure from that one picture, but I really, really don't like the bridge. It looks like someone put a whole bunch of Kenmore appliances in the TV section at Best Buy.

Incidentally, that's NOT Uhura in the background of the bridge shot.

I'm guessing that bridge shot comes across less bright on the theater screen, though I don't hate it.

Bridge looks fantastic. Exactly the sort of thing I would expect from a ship from the 2260's.

Uniforms....yes. Bridge.....absolutely not.

Icdidently, Pine says he's not going to channel a certain Mr. Shatner, but he totally has the Shat thing going on there!

Anyone getting a hint of the NX-01 from that shot?

I love the uniforms actually, from a distance they look like the originals, but the detail is there up close.

The bridge sucks and there's no way I can take John Cho or Simon Pegg seriously.

But I'll still give the movie a chance. My expectations are extremely low so maybe I'll be surprised.

Imagine that, the people who are no longer the target audience generally don't care for the updates. I really expected this to happen when I heard of this. For me, it all looks good and if people are really worried about Simon Peg and John Cho, they should look at the acting in original trek.
