This year I said I would treat myself to something just for me when I received my tax refund. I had noticed some ads featuring a Zen V-plus player. It's features of videos, FM radio, photos and tons of music, lured me into the investment.
I received my new toy on March 12th. I had purchased it on line from J&R Music World. By March 15th the screen on my new toy had frozen.
I returned it to J&R where they promptly replaced it.
That was my first problem with my MP3.
The 2nd manifested when I got this message on my computer (usually I plug it into the computer to recharge and download) while downloading music that my player was filled to capacity after only downloading 2 1/2 CDs. And today only 3 weeks later my screen has frozen again! Is there someone out there monitoring these messages? Is there someone out there with MP3 technology that can explain this to me or what I'm doing wrong?
The return department at J&R was unable to give me any solutions if the frozen screen problem came up again.

I just solved the frozen screen issue by just letting the batteries run down. This unfroze the screen. :whoopdedoo:

There seems to be no way around it.
I'll have to read the manuel to find out how to store tons of music.

Well, the battery died and now so did the MP3. My computer and the MP3 softwear tell me it's not connected. Even though it is physically connected. I'm presently visiting the customer service site. Now to play the waiting game to see what they'll tell me.

Okay ! I posted a HELP message on MiGente.com and they came to the rescue.:busheep:

Pancho suggested I put a pin in the tiny hole under the on/off button and that did the trick.

It was a faster response than I would get from their customer service. They still haven't responded to my e-mail. Anyhoo, I'm happy.:)

Glad it worked out. These things can be hugely frustrating!

My MP3 player messed up because whatever little program/chip in it keeps the music index from getting mixed up... was messing up. It was doubling up all the songs I had, or putting 3 copies in of each song. No matter how many times I deleted the stuff and put it back in, it was full after a couple of CDs.

My dad did something to reconfigure it, I don't know.
You should probably ask about how the MP3 handles the music you put in it and what can cause that to mess up.

^^^^^^ I totally cleaned it up and then put in other stuff (about 4 CDs) and still have space. I think I was downloading incorrectly. Not sure.
I really like my toy. I have all kinds of cool video clips and recordings. I can even record conversations or music at a moments notice.

It's possible (even probable) that you put the songs on the device in .wav format, so you ate all your space the first time.

Make sure you have converted them to MP3 beforehand.
