What Is Considered Trolling with Rep?

You admitted without prompting. No one baited the admission out of you. You volunteered the reason you gave @Tuckerfan a neg rep was as retaliation. I'm not sure what's not clear about this.

Sorry, that's not what I said. I said it wasn't against any rule to use it as an expression of disagreement. To use it for trolling outside of the Red Room, though, that is indeed a violation. I hope you are able to understand the difference.

How would they get warnings? As far as I know they were not doing anything? But Faceman said flat out that using negative reps outside the Red Room was trolling (and that he was responsible for it) so I wanted to see if he was telling the truth.

So I think this thread is resolved, as Dayton's question has been answered, and it has been clarified that he shouldn't give any further neg reps in Media Central.

And we are left to watch another one of Dayton's threads blow up in his face.

Allow me to break this down for you since you "seem" incapable of understanding it.
1.) Using rep, either positive or negative, to troll outside of the Red Room is considered a violation against the rules. (An example of using pos rep to troll would be someone posting a comment about how someone they loved dearly had just died in a horrible accident and this was deeply upsetting to them, then having someone use "funny," as a rep response.)
2.) Neg reps, as a sign of genuine disagreement with a post outside of the Red Room, are fine.
3.) Faceman stated the rule correctly, you have failed (probably deliberately so) to understand it.

TrekBBS would've just banned your ass and save themselves the headache. As would every other board in existence.

When you've had a history of using mods as weapons an being stupid enough to admit this, of course people will be suspect of your motives. No, a handful of negs outside of RR isn't forbidden. When you launch twenty in five minutes, it gives red flags.
