There may well be parallels between the S&L crisis of the '80s and '90s and today's financial crisis, but McCain was cleared of wrongdoing in the Keating affair by a Senate Judiciary Committee dominated by Democrats, so this is pretty weak.
Unbelievably weak. He cooperated fully with the investigation and held nothing back. Nor did he try to fight over anything. When the Special Prosecutor, a hardcore Democrat, and the Democrat dominated Judiciary Committee come out and say you are completely innocent of any wrong doing then any attempts to bring it up today are stupid. McCain could just run a commercial pointing out how Obama is lying.
Ayers and Wright isn't "going dirty"...it's pointing out the truth. If the best Obama can come up with is ancient history McCain was cleared of all wrong-doing in then...

Come on; do you really think McCain can actually get it up anymore? There's a reason he's so grumpy and ornery, and it's not because he's morally opposed to cheating on a wife who won't swallow.

Except Ayers wasn't acquitted. Having the case dropped because of some procedural oversight or impropriety isn't the same as being found innocent of what's being accused, nor does it change the behavior or the the fact he's he's not only unrepentant about it, but philosophically inclined to approve of and promote that behavior. And, it would seem, Rezco's relationship with Obama was significantly more than sharing a wave with the guy down the street while picking up the newspaper.
This argument has never made any sense. Yes the crimes were committed when Obama was eight but that doesn't excuse Obama hanging out with him as an adult. Obama knew who he was and knew what he did and still chose to work with this guy on a regular basis. I wasn't even alive when the guy bombed those buildings but if I had met him today as an adult and knew who he was and what he did I would gladly tell him to go fuck himself. I'm not going to give him a pass just because I wasn't alive at the time of the bombings. If you met a former SS guard and knew he was a SS guard during WWII would you shrug it it off and say it was before you were even alive? Would you tell other people they shouldn't be criticizing you for hanging out/working with with a former SS guard because at the time he did those things you weren't even alive?
It was dropped because the FBI screwed up on the surveillance. The guy himself has admitted he committed the bombings. He's proud of them. I'm surprised that the states didn't try and prosecute him once he made that statement that he was guilty. Oh and I can't wait for President Obama. The man has so many shady characters in his past his administration is going to be one long crisis. Rezco might be a big problem for him.....
I agree Obama cannot be held responsible for his actions. However, the scumbucket is unrepentant and has stated he is sorry he wasn't able to kill more people. Obama is his buddy, and started his senate campaign in the guy's living room. It states very clearly that Obama has very bad friends, and that he should be accountable for.
