Horde on Area 52, Alliance on Khaz Modan/Azjol'Nerub

Wait. There's a WoW server called "Area 52"? How does that fit with the general tone?

SW-ToR

It's the name of a place in game. No relation to Area 51.

At most, it's just a shout-out to Area 51, but there's no other relation. Area 52 happens to be the largest Horde populated PvE server.

I went from playing Ultima Online to playing SW:ToR. Never did play WoW, so I had no idea how the new MMO's operated. I wound up getting confused on how TeamSpeak worked (it doesn't turn off when you turn the game off), so for like 2 days everyone on my ToR guild could hear everything I was doing in my bedroom. And I mean EVERYTHING. It's a hell of a way to get to know somebody, I guess.

Push-to-talk is your friend if TS has it. Vent and Mumble do.

We require that you use push-to-talk. If you don't, a mod will mute you.

Of course the odd side to that is that you get used to doing it all the time. I catch myself using the PTT button on my mouse even when I'm on Skype or on my phone.

Here's where you can find and set PTT on TS. It's under Options, obviously.

LOTRO has voice chat for party members and great landscapes.
