Yeah, we all know how those Europeans looove their big cars, especially around those skinny old-time streets. That was kinda disgusting at the end of the avocado ad. Licking another person's rubbery fake finger is not on my list of happy fun times. Camry goes for the family demographic, nice one but not selling the car. The other one managed to tie in both the "rarr he-man car" and "safe for the family" demographics, that was impressive. Overall I think the Pats had the edge in the first half, but Seattle looks like it could take control going forward if the Pats aren't careful. The vaunted Seattle defense is looking figured-out, though.
It's a catch-22. If we win I'm gonna want to drink and party. If we win I gotta go in to the office at 6:30 in the morning to update the website (must be live at 7am when the new phone tree goes live) and start sending out comms to our riders about the parade. Fucking great time for the VPN to be down.
It's so odd that the halftime show looks like it's mostly shot in 25p when everything else is 30p. They started doing it several years ago and I've never been able to find out why.
So far, the second half is not pleasing me. But both teams are too good to count out of anything at this point.
Shiny fireworks! That was a weird initial camera angle on the field goal kicker. His hed looked pastede on yey. Shiny stadium! People should really learn not to get penalized after a turnover. Keep your cool. Seattle's looking like they've figured out the Pats' D, now. Hey, a dog. I was expecting a dog from Budweiser, but congrats on counting past two I guess Mini. These people are getting really excited over mushy fruit. The fouls are starting to pick up.
That was funnier, T-Mobile. The sacks are coming out now, that's fun. Huge pass knockdown in the endzone. Ugh, concussion. Good to see Amendola get a Super Bowl TD, he's an ex-Ram. Nice, atmospheric Jeep ad. No idea why Geico keeps having that ad run. You'd think they could have had the guy sit there another 60 seconds for a few different lines. "Cold cuts are better served cold. And that's why the Chinese use chopsticks." Simple, funny Mini ad. Well, there's Brady's comeback. Two minutes for death or glory for Seattle.
Looks like Nissan wins the ads. Great knockdown for the Pats. NBC's stream has been blurry and it's been sharp, but always as long as it's functioned I've been able to tell what's going on. So good for them I guess. Epic catch. !!!! That's basically the finisher. Interceptions were out of my mind at that point, what a shock. What an end to the game.
On the bright side: 1) I don't have to go in early tomorrow. 2) I won some sweet Sessions pint glasses in the raffle. 3) Kids in Seattle and Boston get a sneak peak at Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy crossover: http://www.mtv.com/news/2066089/chris-pratt-chris-evans-super-bowl-bet/?utm=share_twitter Oh well, whatchagonna do? We'll win it next year. And until then, Sounders preseason has started. Now for that CB signing....
The theory is that if you ran on 2nd down and don't make it, the clock doesn't stop and then you have no time left so you have to run on 3rd down which the Pats would be ready for but a pass on 2nd down will stop the clock and the Pats would be off guard. At least it's the only theory that makes any sense at all. Can't say I was unhappy to see Pete Carroll look like a fool, though.
Yeah, there's a decent case to be made for passing there, but no excuse for throwing it over the middle into traffic where too many bad things can happen. Throw to the flat or the back corner of the endzone.
The game was actually very close and very well played by both teams, NOT sad to see Seattle lose, HORRIBLE play call. Sherman was gonna cry, his chunky soup ads are gonna go to Gronk now!!
