I think I discussed this on The TrekBBS years ago but I've forgotten.

I happened to get lucky with a very light shade of somewhat metallic blue for the original series Enterprise model (the bare model was grayish).

I'm trying to get my models to look as good as possible then I'm taking the thinnest possible dowel rods painted red to represent energy beams striking the Enterprise (with sprayed cotton balls on the end to represent instructions).

I'm using these models (going to mount them in the appropriate positions and make photos of them) to make what amounts to storyboards from my proposed Original Series special effects upgrades.

If you don't want to answer the question then get off my back and beat it. It is just a question.

Telling someone to "google it" every time they ask a question is ridiculous.

Asking a board where there are only one or two people who build and paint plastic models (only one of whom specializes in sci-fi kits) is pretty ridiculous, too.

There are whole message boards devoted not just to plastic modeling, but science fiction modeling.

It is senseless to ask a question that takes more time to type out and post on a message board than to Google. It would take less time to find the answer as well. And it is ridiculous to expect someone else to Google the question and then post the answer or a link. If you don't want answers you don't like, then stop asking questions which can be easily answered by using a search engine on the web.

I've been looking on various modeling sites for a couple of days and can't get a definitive answer.

It took me about one minute to find the colors needed for the TOS Enterprise, and another 2 minutes to find the colors needed for the refit Enterprise/Reliant models.

I'm convinced that this is one of Dayton's more blatant trolling attempts, and he's definitely in the wrong room for that.

Fucking google, is that a porn search engine? I can see why Dayton might be afraid to use that.

As a child, I painted my Enterprise metallic burgundy. My brother painted his Klingon Battle Cruiser a much more "appropriate" light metallic blue.

Yeah, we probably used the wrong fonts, too! :finger:
