I did not say that at all. Simply pointing out that if Roe v. Wade was overturned that there would no longer be a nationally recognized right to an elective abortion.

The government already makes a major effort to discourage behaviors and conduct that it considers destructive.

Other than a follow up appointment a week after to make sure everything got cleaned out? Not really. As was pointed out earlier, people do but these pills online, and there are safety risks like with any medicine, but overall fewer people die from abortion-related complications than they do from Tylenol, actual child birth or any given mass shooting in America :borg:

@Dayton Kitchens, is the eagle in your avatar carrying the GOP elephant away, preferably to drop him in the Marianas Trench?

Places where people live in rural poor areas in red states are also places most distant from bus service.

Yes. But we all have cars (I have three, four if you count my daughters that is still legally mine) or know someone who has one.

Youre missing Nova's point, but that's nothing new.

As you've repeatedly stated, you couldn't care less if your cars get fucked up since every car you've received was a castoff from those family members who can actiactu keep employment. But that isn't always the reality for everyone else in the South.

I've never owned a car. Can't drive because of a visual defect. Nevertheless, your worldview is narrower than mine.

And "Hey, will you drive me three states over so I can get an abortion?" is not a question you and your three cars would answer in the affirmative, so STFU.

ETA: @Dayton Kitchens disagrees. Which means he would drive a woman three states over to get an abortion.

I'm sorry but this is just begging for a joke. Something about your work as an author. I'm enough of an ass to point it out, but not creative enough to follow it through.

I don’t know why you can’t see it. It’s pretty obvious.

    On the contrary.

IIRC why should I care if unthinking sluts can't find transport?

I can see close-up with corrective lenses, and I can see distance when I'm walking or biking, but not at the speed of driving.

The problem is, the glasses make me left-eye dominant (to keep me from losing all sight in the left eye - a condition that wasn't noticed until I was in the seventh grade) and right-hand dominant, so it takes images a fraction of a second longer than most to tell my brain "Hey, watch out for that...telephone pole." Trust me, you don't want me on the road. And you don't want to lend me your car if you value your side mirrors.

I get around just fine. Except for chronically bumping into the coffee table.

BTW, in my observation creative writing is more about listening than seeing.

Didn't President James Buchanan have the same kind of vision problem? Of course cars were not an issue back then.

Assuming he did, horse and buggy were still a thing and I would imagine that took even more concentration than a 6 to 10 speed automatic of today.
