    For a week in 2012 it hit an average of 107F with high humidity. I had an hour drive home with no AC in the car.

    I grew up without air conditioning in the car (or anywhere else) which I think is why I developed the habit of driving relatively slowly as about 45 mph is about as fast as you can go with the windows all the way down and carry on a normal conversation.

    It was 114 once, when I lived in Tempe, Az. It was gloriously dry.

    Sell that "dry heat" somewhere else junior! An oven is dry too! :whew: I used to work outside in that Tempe heat year round. :brood:
    If (big if but still) I had to move to the Phoenix area again for family issues or whatever and I had an inside job, I could probably deal with it okay though. Traffic where I live is getting almost as bad as Phoenix but the drivers aren't quite so aggressive here.
