Hmmm.... Let's see. I'm socially libertarian. Center-left on the environment (more fracking but with better environmental controls, more offshore drilling but more environmental controls, pro nuke as clean energy etc) Center left on the economy (mixed market capitalism - emphasis on total economic health) Realist when it comes to foreign policy (internationalist interventionist) Yeah, no real shocker that Hillary was my best match. And while I won't vote for her (WA is hard blue for Presidential elections, so I'll vote Johnson), I do support her and donated to her campaign during the primary.
Choosing between a shit sandwich and a giant douche is no choice at all. Any sane person, this year, is going to vote for Gary Johnson. And kids, this thing is just an internet quiz. It's about as accurate as a gturner post.
It is also possible that the test is flawed. I answered everything according to my true views on the subjects addressed by the questions. I did not rate anything as highest or lowest level of importance. That may or may not have mattered. I also did not drill down to the more detailed and additional questions, as it seemed like a waste of time, so the quiz only got a surface level scan of my views. Nevertheless, I'm not that surprised that it aligned so well with Clinton. I am familiar with her views and they do indeed match up well with mine. I was surprised that Stein also scored so closely with me. I don't think she and Clinton are equivalent on a great range of issues, so if you want to question the results, that's probably the place to start. At any rate, I'm still not clear what point you were trying to make. This is just a silly quiz that may help people unsure about who deserves their vote. But mostly it's just for fun. I doubt anybody tried to skew the answers, other than maybe gturner.
I think there are quite a few Clinton supporters here in addition to MarkB and myself. I'm pretty sure @John and @Ancalagon fall in to that camp, for example.
75% Gary Johnson, with three others in the sixties. A lot of Clinton and Trump in the individual issues, though. The ideology plot below has me pretty centrally centrist. I don't consider myself centrist, just a sloppy mix of idealism and pragmatism that tends to average out around the middle.
