    I totally agree! Do enough to get the fuck out of Dodge! I'm sure you've heard of Krav Maga - the IDF self defense system. It's more than just self defense on the street, it's a total mindset. But I digress - their main focus is avoid the threat completely and stay mobile and keep your situational awareness. If you can't avoid the threat don't engage any more than needed to make an escape. Don't stand and bang - it could be a trap!

    Yes, I have heard of it. The IDF developed it for young, dumb recruits who are full of piss and vinegar (or fighting spirit if you want to be politically correct). It's easy to learn the basics and very effective for young, strong, physically fit recruits in a very short period of time. However, it may not be the best system for people like me who are not recruits and not young or strong. I'd like to think I'm physically fit, but can I hang with someone in their physical prime....doubtful.
