Why do Cass, Tamar, Lanzman and various others have in when they aren't on staff? What, the more outspoken not good enough?
It's really just former owners. We extended that also to Tamar, just because she had served so long as an admin. I didn't have it when I was former staff either.
I've got access. Pretty much every post I make these days is about how incompetent and bumbling the current owners are. So it probably isn't so much a case of you being outspoken so much as the current owners being incompetent and bumbling.
Your access was left in place for the same reason you were originally given a staff position: we wanted your perspective. But then you quit without offering anything but bitter anger, and that's still all you've got. Now with some owner rotation, perhaps it's time to revisit that decision.
At least they had the cajones to stick with it, unlike you who would rather just throw shit from the sidelines.

Wouldn't want it. Didn't want to be a mod way back when, but Storm talked me into it, and I resigned as soon as I could. I just find it fascinating who retains access based on...something or other.
