So, Thursday night I went to my activity log for a shortcut to a post I'd made earlier in the day on a news site's comment thread. This was...around 2 AM...and I noticed a long string of logged items that I had not actually done. Comented on this, liked that, and so forth - and the things I recognized that I'd *ACTUALLY* done were clickable and accessable in the regular fashion - but all these "ghost actions" were not. The most I could do was delete them from the log. Which means not only is someone or something acting under my name but I can't even see what "my" comment was. Checked all the dashboard things to see if there was unauthorized access - nothing unusual. There were some 327 such items over the course of almost 5 hours. (nothing before 8:47 the previous evening) About 3:15 I decided it was prudent to change my password. Next morning I fount 50-60 more such items that occurred AFTER I changed the password. No one has complained of being spammed, they don't seem to be sending DMs which is SOP for getting "hacked" or cloned. WTF is going on here? Here's an image of what the log looks like | That one at the bottom? That previews the comment? I can click on that and go to the thread and perform all the normal actions (edit, delete, whatever) - the rest of those I can't. See the one that says "liked a comment"? WHAT comment? It's not supposed to say *A* comment but look like the others with a name. Some items say "Liked Anonymous User's post" - an Anonymous User is a page that I, real human being, wouldn't have access to because one of us blocked the other, or it had been suspended, or whatever...so...HOW? It's all very bizarre.
Could someone have blocked you after the fact? That would render stuff you did unclickable retroactively.
That's my guess. Or accounts that got deactivated, or you liked a comment and then the original post got deleted...
No, they were things I DID NOT DO. For example, a supposed comment on a post by a friend who i recognize and interact with from time to time - but hadn''t in a week or more. Also... All those entries are now gone from the log, as if they never were.
I've got a big long rant I wrote that FB won't let me see, nor the replies. Indestructible forcefield around it. Just that post, and just for me. FB is fucking up all over the place.
