As a mod, I would define race baiting as use race as a basis to troll or try and provoke a reaction.

2. "Race baiting" really does need a solid definition. I recognize exactly who/what it's targeting and I don't really disapprove, but you guys had better do this "fairly" if you're going to do it.

Full disclosure here, the admins brought this up a few days ago with staff and the majority consensus seemed to be that no rules changes at all were needed to start laying down warnings on people behaving in that way.

The suggestion of a formal mention in the rules was the minority suggestion of those like myself who felt it was fairer to give people a heads up that trying to test the limits of the rules in that current area wasn't a good idea anymore.

However, a straight consensus from both staff and posters commenting on this addition up to now has been that the last thing anyone wants is tighter definitions of rules for people to try and rules lawyer around. WF has been there and tried that and it simply didn't work well.

Treat it like the no porno rule. It's one of those things you can't simply boil down to a list of banned words or phrases and intent does matter.

Just for @Dinner and @oldfella1962 race baiting is not calling someone out for injecting racism into a discussion. I know it makes you both really sad when someone uses a perfectly valid description regarding your racism, but using the words "race baiting" to try and give a negative impression of whoever calls out your racist comments in a piss poor attempt to shame them into silence regarding your open prejudice is going to fail.

If you want people to eventually stop calling you two racists you might want to stop being racist. Not to mention sexist, homophobic, white supremacist, and overly dishonest in your conversations. Just sayin.
