At some point, will probably be a while since Nick and Elwood are currently enjoying ruling the galaxy.

I'm beginning to get bored of ruling the galaxy. It won't be too much longer.

    Two things:

    1) Give plenty of warning (at least 3-4 days so that people can have fun knowing the game is about to finish anyway)

    2) No bloody changing the rules of the game without discussing it with everyone first.

Well, I definitely want the Xenobes in the next game, to liven things up even further and give everyone someone to fight.

Also scrambled sectors to make hiding easier.

But yeah, I am game for a reboot soon too. And agree with the warning beforehand so we all know about Armaggeddon. :)

I have to have your permission to change game settings?

Golly gee, do I have to have your permission to use the bathroom too?

No offense, but I'm not going to be able to get all of you to agree on anything, so I'm just going to go with what I feel is right for the reboot.

I think he means in THIS game, Nick - which I am also opposed to as well.

Well no offense to you, but if you go with "what you feel is right" the rules will probably suck, as shown by the last time you started talking about what needed changing.

Did I ever say it did? I said if you start changing rules from what they are now.

Hey, maybe you have good ideas, but the only example I have seen of you saying how you would like to change the rules was a change that would have completely broken planetary defence balancing.

Here's what I am going to change so far.

Universe size: 5000 sectors is too big, it will be shrunk by at least half if not more. Likely to be anywhere from 500 to 2000 sectors.

Planet populations: Changed to a higher maximum, haven't decided yet.

    SOFA: On

    In game graphics: Improved

For the best, but I'm interested in seeing how this ends up working. It's hard to directly scale down from the bigger games because by doing this (assuming we have the same amount of turns) any player would be able to scan the entire galaxy with just one days worth of turns.

Haven't thought about this aspect at all so I don't have an opinion either way.

This is the sub-orbital fighters right? Am actually interested in seeing how this works since it could be great for balancing things out, or it could tip the tables further towards favoring rich players who can afford to keep going to buy more new fighters until they have worn the planet down.

Good. Unless you are cracking out mspaint. :D

Yeah, I'm going to have a test game with the new rules up in a day or so.

Yeah, give us a couple days before the reboot. Armageddon will be fun.

I'll even setup a public target. Something with enough cash to really give you a nice ship...if you can take it.
