Winston Churchill no longer believes in Britain's existence, the long-dead political leader told Sun reporters. He specifically doubts the near-mythical country's war record. "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." said Churchill, adding: "And I do mean never. Didn't happen. Impossible; preposterous." Unexpected support for Churchill's position comes from famed investigator Sherlock Holmes. "Once you have eliminated the impossible," he said at a press conference launching a new reality TV format, "basically, you've eliminated Britain."
Holmes was a junkie, and Winston was too fond of the sauce for my liking. Pah, I say, to both of them. Now, Frank Spencer, there was a Briton. Truly a God Among Men. "Oooh, Betty!", indeed.
Which just proves that the state has no business trying to control what adults put into their bodies, given their successes. Besides, if we're looking for more modern icons for Britain, I'd vote Basil Fawlty - incoherent, impotent rage sums up a lot of people today, IMHO.
