For about two days now, perhaps a bit less, my smartphone (Galaxy S5 running Chrome) will no longer display this site. Similar technology and the same browser on my tablet (Note 10.1 2014, again Chrome) have no such problems. When reaching the address wordforge.net, the browser window on the phone simply stays blank -- no error message, no more loading going on, just a full stop. My speculation points to some kind of problem in calculating dimensions for the responsive look of the site. Up to two days ago, this has always worked fine. Did someone change something in some setting, perhaps?
I have the same problem starting yesterday, it will load if I do a Google search then click on the link.
Yeah, some people are reporting this on Facebook, too. @John or @Order2Chaos may need to tinker. Packard's guess seems like the right idea, that it's a rendering issue on certain browsers or screen sizes. Not sure, as it works fine on all of my varied platforms.
It was happening to me, but a direct link to the red room got me in. I think if you click home it will probably bring you to a white screen as well. I've been navigating using the forum button.
This is also consistent with what Dayton reported when "using Google" for Wordforge. I've updated the thread title for accuracy.
I didn't change anything, but I definitely see it happening at / (Safari 7.1 Mac) but not at /index.php. Interesting. It's not Ad-block related, and I get a completely blank page, even viewing source. This *feels* like a server configuration problem.
If you're having trouble, just go to http://www.wordforge.net/index.html For some reason, Wordforge's vanilla .net address is bringing up a blank page. I removed our old index.html, which was blank, but it has yet to start redirecting to WF's index page, so I'm still working on it. Still, clicking on the home page will take you to the index, as I am having it redirect there.
Everything should now be working properly. I've tested it on my phone, my tablet, on my PC, and I'm not seeing blank pages when accessing the primary URL.
The web interface seems to be inaccessible now. Most pages yield "the requested URL /index.php was not found on this server." Wordforge.net with nothing after it gives a longer Xenforo error message. Tapatalk works fine.
Oh, and there might be some occasional issues with page loading for a little while, so if you get a blank page or an error, just punch in wordforge.net/index.php. That will work until everything's all nice and smooth again.
