Why do you think conservatives despise public schools?

Dunno how many explicitly conservative teachers I had during my time, but my sixth grade teacher definitely thought himself to be the next LoAnn Johnson from Dangerous Minds* and I had more than one teacher be overly astonished that a kid from Markham Elementary could possibly know shit about opera or read above grade level.

I dunno, probably cuz most of them say shit like blacks need to get used to working for wypipo for one and countdown the days to the next vacation period for another.

From the evidence, they reject all schooling. But taxpayer-funded? Gotta be on their shit list.

What evidence do you have that conservatives "reject all schooling"? After all speaking from personal experience almost everyone in my immediate and extended family has at least one degree. A few with advanced degrees. And conservatives don't oppose everything that's taxpayer funded.

I, on the other hand, freely admit I only got a C and two D's at A-level when I was 18, but knuckled down and got a degree, a Masters and a Ph.D because education is NOT how much you can recite on demand but how much you understand. I've met folk with Ph.Ds I consider idiots because they have winged stuff, but they outclass you so much they're the fucking Enterprise-D versus the Apollo missions.

And for a supposed student of military history you seem to daily fail to grasp that going into battle unarmed (in your case with one hand smashed by a mallet and the other lodged firmly up your own asshole) is not an optimal position to END on, let alone start with.
