You cannot give reputation to the same post twice.

For about two days now, I have been getting this message whenever I give rep to any post, once. (Win7 and Chrome.) It's not a great nuisance, but I'm mildly curious whether I'm the only one, and I thought I'd mention it in case it is the final warning sign before the server explodes.

I was getting that some months back, and it was my mouse hiccuping 2-4 clicks for every actual click.
A new mouse sorted it out.

My question back to the message is: why not?

Why can't we rep the same post? Sometimes, my posts are twice as nice, and should be repped accordingly.

I would rep your avatar! I would even be willing engage in gang-reping your avatar, if need be, if she's into that!
