Installation routines with music. Here I am, watching THE OFFICE in a window, surfing WF in another and starting the setup of my freshly arrived new TEST DRIVE. Next, next, next, goddammit next, yes, start alreay ... and it starts ... and it starts playing away some stupid music at full volume. Which is loud enough to raise the dead or at least the tenants on the other side of the isolated walls  and not to talk of myself who sits right in front of the frakkin' 500 watts that suddenly blast away, compliments of Mr. Yamaha amp and giant speakers :ualbert:

Yes, that's why the media player is set to a low volume. So I can hear and understand it while the amp is set to 'party'. But funny, even when I lower the system volume and raise the media player's while lowering the amp output, the damned music is still so loud that you can't hear a word of the video. It's designed to be much louder than anything else on your system :bang:

Am I the only one who doesn't immerse in the process of installing stuff and just wants it to go fast and quiet?!

    *grrrrrr*

Cool Vista fact I discovered while enduring this with another program: you can set the volume for each application individually in the mixer. Double click speaker icon, there you go. Nice.
