Man puts girlfriend on hood of SUV, drives down I-85 September 21, 2012 7:25 AM EDT Channel 2 Action News reported other drivers are credited with helping her to safety. Some called 911, others took pictures of the woman’s ordeal and then motorists surrounded the SUV until the driver was forced to pull over. “We start motioning to each other, like can you believes this,” Adam Marlatt, a witness, told Channel 2. The SUV finally stopped and officers quickly arrived and arrested the driver, Jonathon Lozano Salas. The woman, whose name was not released, was not seriously injured. Salas, 29, of Lawrenceville, was charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct and simple battery. He was booked into the Gwinnett County jail, where he remained Thursday night without bond.
