In just under 2 weeks on Cartoon network and until tonight, I'd never heard of it. how do those fuckers expect to have viewers if they don't promote their shit? This is all the video i could find on YouTube about it: [yt=Comic Con preview bootleg]QsnuMjbaqbM[/yt] [yt=Interview with the producers, also from Comic Con]dZ07Bu5iQZE&NR=1&feature=fvwp[/yt] Interestingly, he says Robin has "been at this 4 years" and yet Robin's said to be only 13 here - how the hell are you a costumed crime-fighter at nine or ten? Oh well, otherwise it looks like I'd enjoy it if it's written as well as other DC series I've seen.
Being trained as an acrobat practically from birth probably helped, but 13 does seem too young. I always imagined Young Justice (or the Teen Titans) to be more like high school kids, not junior high. Unless the Batman in this universe is like the All Star Batman (a complete lunatic), in which case it's more understandable.
I could see STARTING as Robin at 13, particularly with an early puberty (my oldest son was like 5'10" when he was 13) but i can't see 4 years experience in the field at 13. if the implication was he'd been training for 4 years then that's one thing. I kind of like the take that Robin is not the leader but one of the younger members - and he brings the mad computer/hacker skills as a big contribution. it was just the "he's been doing this the longest" part that I didn't buy into.
Watched it. Wasn't bad. I'm assuming "the light" is the Legion of Doom, or some other Luthor-based organization?
I just figured it was Cadmus or something related there-to. doesn't seem like they'd need a "special ops" team for a Luthor type villain. I missed the first 15 minutes but it wasn't bad. A bit "paint-by-numbers" at this point but i'll wait and see how the flesh it out.
Depends. If he's the classy businessman type Luthor, he might be operating behind the scenes at this point. Not to mention, in the comics Superboy
