This is very sad news indeed. My condolences (despite the fact that he'll never know) go out to Zack Snyder and his family.
Tragic. Sad for him. So maybe JL won't be a dirge like BvS, and an actual fun film. Hopefully Joss can differentiate it from the Avengers films so it doesn't seem like more of his same style.
Very, very sad. And seeing a half-involuntary cooperation between the two will be incredibly fascinating. I am suddenly determined and excited to see this movie.
Hopefully Whedon will make Superman a Boy Scout again and bring him back to saving cats and flying tips.
Snyder has my condolences, losing a loved one, especially to suicide is an incredibly difficult thing to deal with. I wish him the best.
The daughter's suicide is a pretty good cover story, maybe the daughter really did commit suicide. But it's difficult to believe that Snyder would voluntarily hand the reins of his version of Avengers off to the actual Avergers director, who will inevitably get the credit if Justice League is anything approaching decent. This is WB realizing that it's huge superhero gamble was going bust after a string of mediocre films. Snyder's name attached to anything right now brings nothing but bad buzz. Guaranteed, Snyder will never touch another DC universe film. As for how much Joss can change Justice League, my understanding is that he was initially brought on to script some additional scenes, and will now supervise reshoots. How extensive those reshoots are is unknown....
All of your speculations are crap. Here's the truth. http://www.cbr.com/whedon-on-justice-league-before-snyder-exit/ Now apologize. In front of everyone. Do it.
So. Joss was brought in much earlier than initially thought. So, that means WB was very, very concerned about what they were seeing of Justice League. They know that their entire plan for a shared DC universe hinges on the success of this film. So they brought in the guy with the proven track record of successfully helming this kind of picture, the guy who directed a film that grossed $653 million domestic and garnered critical praise. No director would voluntarily call in another director to "help" create scenes and then have to share credit for any success. I fail to see how you think that article disproves anything I've said.
Yep. Also, it seems like his daughter died a couple of months ago and things were understandably kept quiet until he decided to take care of himself. I know he's basically the Rick Berman of the DC Movie Universe but no one with a lick of decency would cheer to see him off this project under these circumstances.
