I say you do not have to have a slutty dress for it to make a father uncomfortable. There are several dresses that you could look at and think what the mother (or any woman) would look like wearing it and be uncomfortable.

Having peeked at the video, I'd be less concerned with this girl going to prom half naked that with her going to prom all tacky. Ugh. That dress isn't the least bit sexy, and I wouldn't even call it slutty. She could wear it to the beach without raising an eyebrow. The prom, however, is not the beach. The prom is a dance and a formal party, and slightly risque ugly beachwear in which you can't possibly dance just isn't what you wear to the prom.
