    The good doctor is correct.

The GOP could run the most charasmatic, polished contender with the best plan for the country ever crafted, and it wouldn't matter. He's black and it is the ultimate ace-up-the-sleeve and excuse for any circumstance imaginable.

How many times have we seen here at WF how well His strategy of class warfare works? These days, every speach He gives is a direct attempt to stir the envy gene in His worshipers. How many times did you hear it during the debt ceiling debate? Have you ever not heard it when He was talking about any of His FOUR job creation plans in the past 3 years?

The uneducated, emotional, lazy moocher class that put Him in power couldn't give a damn less if we have a 3 or 4 billion dollar deficit per year by the time He's finally done 'rulling' (and that is a very real possibility). All they care about is the HOPE that they can get more things from the government taken by force from people who worked harder than they did to get where they are in life. Jenee here is a perfect example of that mentality.

It isn't going to get better folks. It's a cancer.

Have you forgotten what it was like in 2008? Go watch the documentary 'Media Malpractice' for a refresher and don't think for a minute it isn't going to happen again in 2012. It'll give you a 'tingle up your leg' as you remember the era that 'sort of God' Barack ascended to his holy throne.

I see him winning. I can't even visualize a situation where a Republican can even come close to overcoming this incumbent. He is deeply entrenched. Having said this, can America survive another term?

Guess we'll find out...I'm not optimistic.

Oops - not optimistic? Thinking like a Liberal - maybe he's gotten to me already!

Obama may win re-election, but will he survive the revolution that is sure to follow is the bigger question.

I dont think it makes any difference whether the Republicans or Democrats win
Oh and remember, its a party you are electing, not a candidate.

Obama will not win re-election. Unless the Republican party picks a complete moron like Perry/Bachman/Palin, Obama's out.

So what are the Republicans doing wrong that big business, college educated women, minorities, the media and independents won't give them their vote?

I think Obama will win just because all the leading GOP candidates appear to be slightly insane and/or creepy. I wouldn't let Romney sell me a car much less run my country.

Anyone remember how the Democrats were rejoicing when it became obvious Reagan would be the nominee in 1980?

Obama is eminently beatable, but the current crop of republican frontrunners don't inspire much confidence that it will happen. There are a number of republicans who could but they are instantly dismissed as "RINO's" and "closet liberals", plus they don't instantly piss off liberals. Never mind that at least some "liberals" would have to cross over to unseat Obama.

Obama will not win. His first term is simply creating too many conservative Republicans who will turn out at uprecedented rates to vote against him.

I think Obama could beat the candidates I mentioned in the general election. Rick Perry openly supported seccession from the US for crying out loud. ... and not for nothing, the only group polling worse than Obama at the moment are self-identified tea party members.

It requires a staggering level of self-delusion to believe that Obama is engaged in "class warfare" on behalf of anyone but the very rich given his policies.

I have no idea why big business wouldn't vote Republican but college educated women tend to be pro-choice and so far I don't think any of the Republican candidates are (?), minority interests usually aren't in line with Republican interests, and the Tea Party elements within the GOP are steadily distancing independents.

Obama is beatable, but the current selection of candidates isn't spectacular. The same thing happened in 2004--Bush was beatable and came very close to being beaten, but the primary choices were horrible and the Dems ran a horrible candidate. I'm guessing 2012 will be similar to 2004 in that the race will be close but the votes for the Republican candidate will be more likely a vote against Obama, just like in 2004 a vote for Kerry was mostly a vote against Bush.

If Marco Rubio is the Vice Presidential nominee, that will help the Republicans immensely.

A conservative of Hispanic background from Florida.

    Hard to find fault.

Kind of symbolic that he saved Nancy Reagan the day before yesterday.

I've heard of Rubio, and I'm from Canada. :soma:

Why not Rubio as president? He's got just about as much experience as Obama, and from what I remember of his policies and voting record, I think the majority of Republicans would be able to stomach him much better than and 2nd Obama term. Plus, he comes with a built in Hispanic vote all but guaranteed, regardless of his stance on immigration. The browns will vote him.

In fact, from my vantage point, he's probably the best and most likely candidate to dethrone Obama.

There's always just one more thing that has to happen for the collapse to come about, isn't there? It's always just around the corner but never happens.

No one knows anything about him except that he saved Nancy Reagan's life.

Actually, with the way politics have been dumbed down that might be the only thing he needs to run on.

It doesn't have to be collapse per se, just a demonstration that the attitudes, platitudes, and conditions for collapse have solidified completely. What follows will be inevitable. You don't have to believe- by nature you are incapable of logical thought or reason on the issue.

    Just watch.
