Considering what I originally said was that "some people who are doing the negging are hypocrites" because of the things they said about other people who negged for years....where I purposely didn't name any names...it's interesting you automatically decided it was about you. And I didn't "scold" anyone...I simply said some were hypocritical. It's you people who decided I wanted it to stop and was trying to shut it down. Which isn't true at all.
You sound like one of those rednecks who expect moderate Muslims to denounce terrorism twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Jus sayin.
For some this was the first time on a "rep campaign" and they indicated that the action was being taken because they are sick of the same clowns getting away with the same shit and, clearly, they have lost faith is a certain admin who let them get away with it and exhibited clear bias (and come on, look how many people are lining up to say it). Clearly, with the considerable lack of faith you should stand down as admin as your position is becoming untenable. I remember that you were the first one to leap at me over the Mewa incident and declare that I should be off staff. But in this instance, with even greater member disssatisfaction against you, all you can do is piss and whine and plead ignorance. A bigger person would accept that they have lost the support of the troops.
I dunno...do you call people names for doing something and then do it yourself? If so, then you, too, may be a hypocrite!
Excuse me? Exactly what do you think I could do about it? The rules state rep war is allowed in the Red and Gray rooms. Trolling is allowed in those rooms. This ties the staff's hands from doing anything. I posted the rep poll a couple months ago because it seemed sentiment was changing...and leave it alone was still the winner. Anytime a rules change is brought up, the majority say "no". If people have lost faith in me..and interestingly it's just me despite the fact I don't have the power to change the rules here...because I didn't stop the rep wars and trolling then it's people who are just looking for an excuse to demonize me.
and if she stands down, what is it that her replacement could do about it? what is it that you want to be done?
Looks like you were completely talking out of your ass there. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it would be a bad thing if you bought Wordforge.
Who says I want anything to "be done". Her card has been marked with clear bias and imbalance. Hell, in her subsequent "love me, love me" thread there were even people voting for her to stay who were saying she is clearly bias towards certain members, so it's not just those who think that maybe she should step down who have recognised said bias. Quite simply a new, fresh face would come to the able with a clean, untainted record. So that is what would be "done". I can't remember which thread it was in, but someone suggested that mods should be rotated every now and again, irrespective of how good or bad they are, simply to keep the place fresh. I thought that was quite a good idea.
No I wasn't. As I pointed out straight away in her ego thread, well before most people had voted, this is not about what the majority think. It is simply acknowledging that if quite a few members, which does not have to be a majority (this is not an election after all) are pointing out an issue like repeated bias, then that suggests to me that there is a problem. There is a distinction between there being a problem and what the majority think, in much the same way that a politician might do something totally inappropriate which makes his position untenable and forces him to resign, despite still people popular with the people. That is the distinction that people do not seem to be able to grasp. Setting up this whole drama majority vote thread is entirely Tamar's doing as part of her neeed for approval and misrepresents what I have said earlier in this thread. Why, because you are guessing that I would sack Tamar, right? I think you'd need to know whether or not I'd consider the opinions of others before taking decisions. Unlike most people here, I have had proper, and significant, responsibility in the real world and I am entirely capable of removing my own personal desires or views on a person or attitudes from doing what it takes to complete the overriding objective, which in this case would be the furtherance of the board and, as far as is possible, the satisfication of the troops. If people think that I would come and start running people off the board or making up loads of new rules then they are wrong and basing that purely off of assumption and their need for drama. Oh, and btw, I like how your post doesn't mentioned that you voted for her to go.
Were you even a member back then? Were you a member before hand to witness any of this going insane??
You said she has lost the support of a "considerable chunk of WF's membership". It would appear she hasn't, both in votes and people voicing their support. Regardless if it's an excerise in ego, no amount of lawyerspeak or moving the goalposts can really supercede that. Actually it's more that you come off as a self righteous wanker who prides himself on being some sort of internet warrior, despite telling people that the internet doesn't matter to you. It's all very peculiar. While Tamar might do one or two things that I don't agree with, it's nearly not enough for me to say she should go. Also, you must have missed my post in that thread:
He was a member back then....but back then he was busy kissing my arse, begging me for advice on how to propose to girlfriends and unloading his doggy grief on me. He forgets these things, of course.
Nah, I called this several weeks ago, back when I was lobbying Lanzman to change the rep system. In fact I wondered aloud in one of those threads what would happen if Sokar suddenly started getting a dose of his own medicine. Then we'd see just how important those supposedly meaningless little green pips were to him.
