Whatever you feel you owe this board has long since been repaid. If you want to stay...stay. If you don't want to stay on staff, walk and don't look back.
I love Wordforge...I love helping Wordforge. However....if the majority doesn't want me here any more, then it would be the best for the board if I left. Which is why I leave the decision in ya'lls hands.
If anyone is wondering, this thread responds to this: http://www.wordforge.net/showpost.php?p=2213199&postcount=280 Now Tamar will start a thread so that everyone can come in and pour love and support on her. Now her life will be fulfilled. We don't actually need to read to the end of this thread to figure out the direction it will go.
Are we holding elections now? I seem to remember when I suggested (long before I was a mod) that the members should choose the mods I was told, quite vehemently, by a certain Tamar Garish that it was a bad idea.
Well, ya know, she is in need of an ego boost. Maybe we will round it all off with a nice boobs/eyelashes pic.
I don't particularly care (or for that matter even know) who the staff members are, but this thread comes across as fishing for compliments in a major way.
It isn't. I'm told that the majority of the board has lost faith in me and I should step down. I am finding out the truth of that. If it's true, it's pointless for me to remain on staff and I will step down.
Meh. Remember that scene in "Space Seed" where McGivers tells Khan, "I don't know if you'll like living in our time" and he replies "Then I'll have to remold it to my liking"? There's a lesson to be learned from what happened next.
Maybe you can find the post where someone says the majority have lost faith. I believe what was said was that a sizeable chunk had, and that should raises questions about your effectiveness as a mod and whether or not your position was tenable if a chunk of members had had enough. Remember, it was you who said that modding wasn't done by popularity vote. However, your response to your misinterpretation is to post a thread desperately seeking approval. This is even more obvious than the threads you mnake Zel post every time you are ill (and before you claim otherwise, if you just wanted to record it you'd simply do it in the Blue Room).
el chup's the one who called for the no confidence vote. He thinks this is british politics or something. Pity we couldn't do that to our dear Godlike President.
Tamar, irregardless of whether you need an ego boost or not, you've done a lot for WF. The place wouldn't be the same without you. (there's no Blazing Saddles "Don't go sheriff, we need ya" clip - I think - but you get the message )
Meh. While I disagree with Tamar's personal stances on some board issues, I haven't seen much bleed over into modding. Nothing fireworthy at least.
I never called for any such vote. This thread is entire Tamar's ego excercise. All I said was that if she had lost quite a few members, at least 8 or 9, then she needs to ask herself whether or not she is effective in her role and whether or not that loss and dissatisfaction has harmed her credibility.
Also, I'm not going to vote because (A) there's no "don't care" option, and (B) much as I hate to agree with Faceman, we know what this is about; the in claiming "the majority" want you out is just that:
