I coined this term on May 13, 2009, sometime in the late afternoon. That is when kikey-mikey was borne, much to my everlasting shame.

Since then it has been used (some say over-used) a total of about 300 times. In a 3 year span, that means that out of x number of posts on Wordforge a day, you see the phrase used once every 3 days or so. And that's including posts where the person quoted the person using it, which really shouldn't count, IMHO. Take those out, and it would be more like you see it once every week or so.

Unfortunately, that particular pet name for actormike is out of the bag, and it would be hard to stuff it back in the pandora's box without a full banning of it. Though I sort of regret having come up with that, in a way it's kinda enduring. He will now always be known as kikey-mikey, and really should just officially change his username to make it easier on everybody.

We love you, kikey-mikey!

Anyone that uses a racial slur on this board is not a "pal" of mine. I spend a great deal of time in my real life making sure I'm squeaky clean because any charge of racial bias would be a severely career limiting situation.

I'm a flag flyer. That's the #1 reason I don't fly any Confederate symbols even though several of my family members fought in both the Revolution and Civil War.

People tend to cut loose on internet boards more than they would in real life. Hell, I'm certainly guilty of that. But I find it astonishing that people continually use racial slurs and think it's some kind of joke or meme. I'd love to see them walk around certain neighbourhoods in NYC and scream "nigger" or "kike" like they do on this board.

That being said, I must agree with garamet and Lanz. This board has always been about free speech. Better to know who the aresholes and racists are.
