Seriously, what's up with that? It's one of the most stupid arguments I've seen, and yet I have seen it brought up in all seriousness. I don't mean just at WF, I mean across the www in general and in other media. I've seen people voice that opinion.

I've only seen that argument once, and it was here of course, posited by a fucking idiot. Interestingly enough, if said idiot thinks opposing circumcision is anti-semitic, I'm kind of surprised he isn't opposed to it.

They may have symbolic meaning today, but to point out that the underlying activity is questionable is not being anti-semitic any more than saying that bacon tastes good.

I support banning it for infants, with exceptions for legitimate medical purposes. Not because in some cases it's religious, not because some practitioners are sloppy, but because it's generally painful, medically unnecessary, and reduces function.

If the kid still wants to do it, they can do it when they're old enough to decide for themselves.
