Some of the criticism in this thread is simply too aggressive - burning the mountain too high, if you will. I understand where it is coming from though.

Not seeing the drama on this one. But if people are gonna pretend that Tamar hasn't spend years implementing a policy of overt favoritism towards certain member, at the expense of others, then they've been living in cloud cuckoo land. But then those on the good side of the equation wouldn't be inclined to have a problem with it, would they? It's why this idea of a never-changing mod-ships on boards, and I'm not just thinking of this one alone, turns these places into unpalatable clique zones. Balance and objectivity go out of the window after a while, and all that's left in it's place is either be a brown noser or one of the unpopular people. I can't think of anything worse than to be an obsequious brown noser.

I agree with Chup. The problem is not so much a very human and essentially inevitable bias, but the absence of realisation and balances to correct for it.
